Finnish Society for Urban Studies

The principal aim of the Finnish Society for Urban Studies is to promote interdisciplinary urban research, function as an academic forum for scholars, increase appreciation of urban studies, and actively co-operate internationally in the field. In addition the Society wishes to generate wider discussions on urban and regional policies, on the development of cities, and on urban culture in Finland. The Society organizes symposia, conferences and public discussions, the most important of which is Kaupunkitutkimuksen päivät (Issues of Urban Research Today) organised yearly.
